"They say a picture’s worth a thousand words. If that’s true, the following ten images could provide the lyrics for a thousand blues songs."
Worker self-management, autogestion, anarcho-syndicalism. Why do prominent leftists like Richard D. Wolff and Noam Chomsky insist on small-scale, anarchist economic models that have in the past led to economic collapse and genocide? Webster G. Tarpley critiques these failed ideas and discusses what he calls “the world political working class for itself” – a mass movement for broad-based economic demands and national development.
John McCain slips up on FOX news and tells the world that US government officials wanted to arm ISIS.
"… the meeting in the White House, over two years ago, everyone on the National Security Team recommended arming ISIS…"
What does Pussy Riot have to do with austerity?
Pussy Riot was formed and financed by Marat Gelman, a Russian-Israeli “modern art dealer” – http://ift.tt/1jWfcHC
Marat Gelman ran the headquarters of Russia’s “Union of Right Forces” party, the financier of anti-Putin candidates like Anatoly Chubais and Boris Nemtsov – http://ift.tt/1qq4w8L
The Union of Right Forces has been a key force for promoting the return of austerity and neoliberalism to Russia – http://ift.tt/1AJRnJq
This is one small part of the picture – let’s just say Washington and Wall Street’s tentacles run deep throughout this entire operation.
The conspiracy goes something like this: 1) Use cultural shock therapy to unite the degenerate West and certain elements within Russia behind the equation “pornography=freedom”. 2) Force Putin’s hand to crack down on pornography. 3) Call Putin the enemy of freedom. 4) Promote someone like Alexei Navalny for eventual presidency. 5) Restore brutal austerity, remove trade barriers, make Russia another EU/NATO quisling state, remove obstacles to London/Washington/Tel Aviv control of global economic resources.
GREAT MOVE BY RANDY CREDICO
In remarks prepared for a worldwide radio audience later this week, U.S. Senate hopeful Dan Buhrdorf of Lincoln criticized Ben Sasse’s “naïve aggression” and warned that his Republican rival’s blustering policies of confrontation and brinkmanship would put the United States on a permanent and precarious war footing.
“Ben Sasse,” said the soft-spoken Buhrdorf, “is pushing a policy of incalculable folly.”
Another thought-provoking and well-researched article by Brandon Turbeville and Heather Callaghan – should we accept austerity and grasp at gimmicks like the USDA’s recent proposal to gather the poor for communal dinners? Or should we fight to tax Wall Street, maintain an adequate social safety net, and turn our sights to economic protection, development and job creation?
"The goal of such credit stimulus by a truly nationalized Fed, while not focused on food specifically, is to give those who are either unemployed or forced to work a number of low-paying or part-time jobs the opportunity to provide for themselves. The United States must return to a high-wage economy where families can be supported by a breadwinner. Working mothers should obviously be able to continue working if they choose, but they must also have the choice to stay home to care for their families. They should not have to make the choice between working for survival and missing out on watching their children grow or staying at home and watching them starve."
